Under the arrangement, Foxtel Business will exclusively distribute BeIN’s three linear channels to pubs and clubs nationwide. For venue operators, that means access to a portfolio built around high-demand live sport, including Spain’s LaLiga, Italy’s Serie A, Germany’s Bundesliga, England’s EFL and Carabao Cup, plus ATP and WTA Tour tennis, Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup coverage.
The commercial logic is straightforward. Live sport remains one of the most reliable tools for driving foot traffic, extending dwell time and lifting in-venue spend, particularly in a fragmented entertainment market where operators are competing for attention and repeat visits.
The content’s return comes after a six-month absence from Australian venues, highlighting how exposed rights holders can be when access to commercial audiences depends on third-party distribution. Rather than rebuilding venue infrastructure, BeIN is tapping into Foxtel Business’s existing footprint, which already reaches more than 4,000 pubs and clubs across the country.
